Greetings! I'm Robin Wouters, founder of VFXlabs. With nearly a decade of experience as an artist in the game industry, I am passionate about crafting immersive visual effects that bring games to life. My expertise lies in creating VFX using the Unity3D engine, where I aim to enhance gameplay and captivate players.
I got my start in the industry as a concept art intern and later, apprenticeship at Guerrilla Games, where I worked on high profile games like Killzone Shadow Fall and Horizon Zero Dawn. I've also worked as a freelance illustrator for clients like Alderac Entertainment Group.
Eager to return to hands-on game development, I joined mobile game developer ChimpWorks as a game art generalist, where I specialized in VFX over the years. During my time at ChimpWorks, I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of mobile games and hone my skills as a VFX artist.
I founded VFXlabs in January of 2023, providing realtime VFX-work on a freelance or contract basis. I take pride in creating visually stunning effects that enhance and complement gameplay and keep players engaged. I'm always looking for new challenges and opportunities to create unforgettable gaming experiences.
